How to Sell your Home Quickly
Selling your property is a big task to be met with. You need to make sure that you find a serious buyer that does not back down from the deal. If you are a property owner wanting to put your property for sale onto the market, then you could help to speed up the process by making simple, affordable changes of DIY to increase its selling potential.

These simple tips will help to ensure that you get more interest in your house and that the final buyer is drawn to the home in the belief that it’s ready to move into.
Buyers that are going to view properties on the market can notice the smallest of DIY disasters that can help them to make the final decision of if they will buy your home or another one. If you prepare your home for a sale beforehand then you will have a big advantage over the competitors that are also trying to sell their home in your area.

Before anyone comes to view the property try and make it UN lived in! – clear out the clutter, get the duster out send the kids to your mums house and make the house smell fresh of cleaning products.

Would you want to buy a house that didn’t look clean and was smelling of dirt and grime? Make sure that you don’t just stick the mess behind closed doors (don’t embarrass yourself for a potential buyer might just want to know what’s behind the door!)

Check, and double check for DIY jobs that you just never managed to complete, of course make sure that you do complete them!

Take extra care in looking around your bathroom and kitchen areas, check that your wallpaper is all stuck down. Perhaps there are some cracked tiles that will need replacing.

Most bathrooms have an area of mould between the grout of the tiles. It looks unsightly and unhygienic, to prevent this scrape out the dirt with a knife and scrub the tiles down with bleach.

Any printed old fashioned style wallpaper should be painted to a neutral paint colour such as cream or beige. Perhaps you should remove any old stained carpets and put down laminate flooring to make the house look more modern and fresh. The smell of fresh paint and newly decorated homes can trick the buyer into thinking the house is younger than it actually dates back to.

These jobs will seem like slavery at the very time that you are completing them; however you can rest assured that the value of your home will increase significantly just by paying more time and attention to your soon to be old home !

You will most certainly be able to sell quicker and are making your home buyer friendly. Another important factor to remember is that if you are showing the buyers around BE FRIENDLY! Yes by being friendly and cracking a smile the buyers will like you and are more likely to remember you home.
